IDENTIFYING THE PROBLEM

Scaling a Premium Dental Brand for the Digital Age.

Cosmetic dentistry has become one of the UK's fastest-growing private healthcare sectors. The UK dental market is projected to exceed £12 billion, while demand for cosmetic treatments such as teeth whitening and clear aligners continues to rise as consumers increasingly research and purchase treatments online.



At the same time, user expectations have evolved. Patients expect healthcare websites to be as intuitive, responsive, and trustworthy as leading e-commerce brands. Slow websites, fragmented booking journeys, and a lack of clinical credibility can significantly reduce conversion rates, particularly on mobile, where the majority of healthcare searches now begin.



Smile White had already established itself as a premium, dentist-led cosmetic dentistry provider with a rapidly expanding nationwide network. However, its existing digital presence no longer reflected the quality of its service or supported the next stage of its growth.



The ambition extended beyond a visual redesign. The platform needed to become a central marketing engine capable of supporting paid acquisition, improving SEO performance, increasing consultation bookings, and giving internal teams greater control over content and campaigns.

CRAFTING THE SOLUTION

A Conversion-Focused Platform Built Around Trust.

Working closely with Smile White's stakeholders, we explored how the website could become far more than a digital brochure. Through collaborative discovery workshops, UX strategy sessions, and technical planning, we designed a platform that balanced premium aesthetics with measurable commercial performance.



Every element of the experience was mapped against a simple objective: reduce friction between discovery and consultation.



The proposed experience centred around a lightweight, mobile-first architecture built with Next.js and React, delivering exceptional performance while providing the flexibility required to support high-volume marketing campaigns. A headless Payload CMS would give internal teams complete control over content creation through reusable components, allowing new landing pages, promotions, and campaigns to be launched quickly without developer intervention.



Clinical credibility became a defining principle throughout the platform. Rather than relying solely on marketing messaging, trust would be established through prominent Trustpilot integration, verified dentist profiles, before-and-after treatment galleries, patient testimonials, and transparent pricing information. Together, these elements created a reassuring experience that reflected Smile White's position as a dentist-led provider.



Conversion optimisation informed every stage of the customer journey. Clear consultation pathways, simplified appointment booking, postcode-based dentist discovery, interactive treatment comparisons, and strategically placed calls to action were designed to minimise barriers and encourage prospective patients to take the next step.



Behind the scenes, HubSpot integration planned to centralise enquiries, automate lead nurturing, and provide comprehensive attribution across paid media, SEO, and email marketing.



The result was a future-ready digital platform strategy that aligned technical excellence with commercial ambition, providing a scalable foundation capable of evolving alongside one of the UK's fastest-growing cosmetic dentistry brands.
