IDENTIFYING THE PROBLEM

Enhancing Accessibility & User Experience for Dyslexia Support.

The British Dyslexia Association (BDA) is a leading voice advocating for a dyslexia-friendly society in which people of all ages can reach their full potential. Their previous website structure was outdated and difficult to navigate, which frustrated users trying to access essential resources.

Key challenges included:

  • A large number of redundant and unused web pages, which made navigation confusing.
  • Important content buried deep within the site, so users had to search extensively.
  • Limited content management capabilities, which meant external help for updates.
  • No responsive design, which made access difficult on different devices.

To better serve dyslexic individuals, educators and families, the BDA needed a modern, accessible, easy-to-manage website that simplified content delivery.

CRAFTING THE SOLUTION

A Fully Responsive, Accessible Website with Custom CMS.

We partnered with the British Dyslexia Association (BDA) to design and build a clean, structured website that prioritises accessibility and content clarity. From the outset our focus was on simplicity, usability and inclusive design. The result is a digital hub that improves the user experience and supports the BDA’s mission to help people with dyslexia across the UK.

The new website gives an accessible experience, with a responsive, mobile-friendly design that works across devices. Content has been restructured for clarity, which reduces duplication and makes key information easier to find. An easy-to-use CMS lets the BDA team manage content independently, and the improved digital presence supports the organisation’s role as a source of guidance, advocacy and support. With a future-proofed platform, the BDA is well placed to expand its reach nationwide.
