Last week, the Arch team headed to London to exhibit at The Business Show, one of the UK’s largest gatherings for ambitious businesses looking to scale, evolve, or disrupt.

With a packed floor and thousands of attendees, the show proved to be a powerful space to connect with SMEs, startups, and scaleups across sectors. Representing Arch were Growth Product Manager Paul Cousins, Director of Growth & Product Success Management Matthew O’Connor, and Marketing Manager Hamish Kerry — all on hand to explore how digital products can unlock smarter ways of working.

Real Conversations with Real Businesses

Across two busy days, we had great conversations with SMEs and larger organisations about their current needs in the app, website, software, and AI space. Many businesses were eager to move faster, deliver more value to users, and better integrate emerging technology — but were running up against common challenges: clunky systems, unclear roadmaps, and questions about how to scale responsibly in a tech-heavy landscape.

For us, the show was a valuable opportunity to listen — to hear firsthand about the pain points businesses are facing and to share where thoughtful, well-executed digital solutions can create meaningful impact. Whether it’s building a product from scratch or evolving an existing platform, we saw just how many companies are hungry for technology that’s strategic, scalable, and user-centred.

On Stage: AI Meets Product Thinking

Hamish Kerry took to the stage to deliver a talk titled “From Idea to Impact: Scalable Digital Products for the AI Era.” The session unpacked how to make AI a meaningful part of your product roadmap — without losing sight of usability, performance, or purpose.

As AI reshapes how we build and use digital products, knowing when and how to apply it has become essential.

This session explored how to turn ambitious ideas into impactful software, websites, and apps — combining AI capability with strong UX, scalable architecture, and purposeful planning. Drawing on real-world examples from sectors including health, fintech, utilities and e-commerce, it offered practical guidance for founders, product leads, and growing teams looking to build smarter, faster, and with confidence in an AI-enabled future.

A Word from the Team

Reflecting on the show, Matthew O’Connor shared:

“It was great to see so many businesses taking a proactive interest in how technology can support their growth. The appetite for innovation was clear — but so was the need for clear, strategic guidance. That’s exactly where Arch thrives: turning ideas into real-world digital products that evolve with the businesses behind them.”
